Yes, the dog fencing works great. My dogs wouldn't go in it when we had it set up for them, so we thought the chickens could benefit from it. And they love it!!!

Thank you all!! My son is very responsible and he does a wonderful job with the chickens. He understands they they rely on him for life. He also is learning the business side of things. Expanded Coop And Chicken Run!! PICTURE HEAVY!!

My 12 year old son was given 7 more hens (4 barred rocks, 1 rhode island red and 2 white plymouth rocks/barred rocks), to go along with his original flock of 18. He was also given a small coop as well. We had some old dog fencing we weren't using, so we used it to expand our chicken yard. As you...

FREE White Barred Rock Rooster to a Good Home - Vermont

My 12 year old son was given a 4 month old White Barred Rock Rooster, along with 7 hens, to add to his 18 hens. While the rooster is very mellow and calm, he doesn't want to keep him ( we have never had a rooster before). So, our loss could be your gain. He is a beautiful, big rooster and we...

Hi MissPrissy, I don't think we will be doing the bator thing. Not sure how to raise chicks, but as I have found out on this forum, you can "never say never". It would be a fun adventure and one I am sure we would all enjoy (I think I am talking myself into it as we speak).

Hi Wynedot55, The coop is 6x10. We have 8 nesting boxes and 6 roosts inside. The chickens seem to really enjoy the space. And yes, I am addicted too. Funny how that happens!!
