Yay! She's fallen in love with the babies we gave her, and the little chicks are very happy too! I've been feeding treats like eggs and bread to my hen while the chicks are sleeping under her, and she's doing great. Thanks so much!
Thanks guys/gals! This is really helpful! I want to make sure that my hen has a great experience, because she's already gone broody before, but we had to try and break the broodiness because we had no rooster. Thanks so much!
Thanks so much! I made her a really weird treat which she really enjoyed; it was a mixture of warm apple cider and a raw egg. Yeah, kinda gross, but she loved it! We had a really old hen adopt some week old chicks once, she was white and all the chickies were black. It was so touching!

Thank you. Sadly, I checked up on her this morning and she was dead. Thank you for your help though! My sisters named her

Thank you so much! I have a lot of sisters and I only told two of them about this...I didn't want to make any of them sad! I've got a lot more hope now. Thanks again so much!

This is my first time hatching chicks at home with a broody hen, and the first chick to hatch is a cute lil' peeping one. Well, after it fluffed up and dried out for about 4-5 hours, I go into the coop to check on the chick and her mother. So, I pick up the chick and it is kinda weak, but is...
