Chick noises
I have 5 week ols brahmas still chirping and have heard my 1 yo rirs chirping too..just a bit different but chirping all the same.thats how they communicate in my case..chirp mainly when its quiet now. used to be constant. also note if the biddies are chirping loudly may need attention as that...- chickenWill

Is there a way to tell if a rir is heritage at hatch
I have allegedly secured some eggs from a line dating back to Thomas Jefferson. wondering f they actually ARE heritage. just hatched [ of course at 4am this morning] lol....still wet bu are bigger than usual and appear to be a bit darker. Or do I need to wait till ey grow a bit? thanks in...- chickenWill
