My EE bantam roo started acting off about a week ago. He seemed to have less interest in interacting with the other chickens, which is very unusual for him. It started getting worse a few days ago so I brought him inside. He’s eating only a bit, and i’m giving him water through an eye dropper...
i made a post on a facebook chicken group about it. That link should take you to it and the video is there. Yes her crop is emptying and feels perfectly normal. It’s Tylosin powder that i’m putting in her water...
I’m currently deworming my chickens with safeguard, but I also have a suspicion that a few of my chickens are having respiratory problems. I’d like to put some Tylan Soluble in their water, but I wasn’t sure if it was safe to do so when there’s safeguard in their water also. Anyone know the answer?
I’m trying to deworm my flock using safeguard. I heard that the correct dosage is 3cc per gallon of water. Is this correct. And I also have some 8-10 week old chickens, who will run over and drink out of the big waterers when we let them out. Is the dosage the same for them? Considering how...
They didn’t give us anything. We went there saying we suspected gapeworms, so they said they would give us something for it if the test came back positive for it. But since they didn’t test positive for it they didn’t give us anything. We’re going to get safeguard right now for it. Could...
I lost a chicken a couple days ago to what I thought was gapeworms. She had all the symptoms of it. Another chicken started showing the same symptoms so I took her to the vet yesterday and they tested her feces. They said she does not have gapeworms, but hookworms? Does anyone know what the...
She’s not really much better. The main problem seems to be her neck. Every time she closes her eyes, it’s like her neck droops to the side unaturally and causes her to shoot back up. The poor thing can’t sleep. I posted about it on a backyardchicken facebook group, and had multiple people say it...
Please someone help. I have a hen, around 15 weeks old. She started acting oddly a few days ago, being very lethargic, gasping for air, and not eating much. We thought it might be the heat, and brought her inside for a few days. I checked her crop to see if it’s impacted and it’s not. Now about...
This brahma is 15 weeks old and it came from a pullet bin. It has had no signs of being a male until now, it just crowed this morning? I immediately assumed it was a boy, but then I looked it up and saw that hens will sometimes crow, especially the “alpha females” of the group, and this one is...
