    Update: saved one lonely “house” chick. It was neglect. The last chick that died would eat some but I think went too long without nourishment at the start. The two mamas gave up broodiness thank goodness.

    What color eggs will a mixed bird produce? For example if you have a Polish Roo with a americana hen what color egg will their offspring produce? Will the egg from that offspring take after the male or the female? Or be a lighter version of one or the other?
