Not sure what happened, but I found about 20 feathers or so on the ground. Recently I've had problems with a couple predators (coyote and hawk). So I assumed I lost another hen, however when I counted them none were missing.
Can my roos fight and be pulling feathers? I have...
We dont have any foxes, but plenty of coyotes. Last year our neighbor lost half her flock to hawks. They found feathers all over, and the chicken in the treeline. Eventually they spotted 3 hawks on the fence and realized thats what had been happening. Looked like a momma and 2 younger hawks.

I let my chickens free range everyday. Yesterday i noticed a lot white feathers in the yard and im missing a white giant. No body found as of yet. Do you think it could be a hawk?

UPDATE: My extra fat chick is fine, actually they all got very fat, almost obese. I moved them to a bigger space, separated their food and water to make them walk more. They have grown and look normal now, since they are butcher chickens I guess they grow very fast. Thanks to all who responded!
Legs are not yellow, they are about 6 weeks old. I betting an EE.
But here are some better pics of her and another i think is an EE. Everytime i think i know what breed it is i am wrong. I've never had baby chicks so i am learning a lot and loving it. My kids are calling the chicken lady. LOL
He still looks swollen, but getting around eating and drinking. There is another that is looking a little swollen but nothing like this one. So far so good, I will keep him but if i think he is suffering i will put him down.

Thay are fed premium chick starter and grit. He doesn't feel spongy. I am wondering if he ingested a piece of the pine shaving?
