    losing feathers only on her back?

    Possibly the roo's mounting did it to her. It's happening to mine right now so I am working on a chicken saddle to protect them until there feathers grow back fully or the roo is gone.

    Will she continue to sit on them? she is with a rooster and hen and the other hen is pecking her when she comes out to eat and is adding eggs to her nest. Its mine and her first time any advice would be great.

    yes some had some blood one had a chick shape but that's as far as its gotten so far. Do you think its more likely a bad rooster or bad incubation temps and humid. I read somewhere that if theres any of your chicken stool on the egg it can mess it up do you think a dirty nest could be the reason...

    I didn't know you could have more than one roo in your flock. wouldn't they cause each other injury.

    I have two hens one roo. I tried 8 to 12 eggs , the first too times I didn't notice the water basin so I used sponges for humidity.
