According to those regulations "these new proposed rules do not deal with domesticated farm populations." Doesn't this mean that it doesn't apply to farm use of the Muscovies or am I reading it wrong?
I bought a couple Cotton Patch goose eggs for $20 EACH! Of course Cotton Patches are REALLY really rare so it really depends on what breed you're selling. I got mine from Flip Flop Ranch.

I purchased Cotton Patches from Flip Flop Ranch www.flipflopranch.com and they are awesome birds. They breed for non-aggressiveness so you don't have to worry about them biting, assuming you raise them right. They claim that even with a lack of attention the birds are still not aggressive.
Good point Pringle. If I was this OP, I certainly wouldn't be inspired to get a Cornish x after all this. I agree with the Delawares. I also heard Dorkings won the taste test for heritage chickens. Not sure how much white meat they have, but if they taste good...
