    They're not in the coop or run at the moment, the babies are too little still and the temps are too low at night. The older ones are in one wired pet pen and the babies are in another pet pen. They are not together, but they can see each other and all the older ones do is squawk their heads off...

    We have a 1 yr old splash silkie. A few days ago she just started losing feathers like crazy. Every time she shakes, itches, or moves she is losing feathers.     They have 2 wooden perches in the coop and in the tractor we give them thick branches that they like to perch on. We have a heated pad to keep their water from freezing, but we're looking into a heated water bowl for them for the coop cuz the one we have is too big. I appreciate all the advice...

    She has healed well and she goes to visit the doc tomorrow just to make sure all is in order. However, I put her with her sisters for a little while today and they were pecking at her non stop.....sigh......so now I have to figure out what's going on there and how to get them to stop.

She's been in the house with us for a little over a week, just waiting for the doc to give the okay for her to go back to the coop...
