    Big commotion in the coop this morning! My polish hen fluffy finally laid her first egg at 8.5 months! It really is a good size as you can see it compared to one from my standard barred rocks. So have no fear polish owners, it will happen when they're ready. She was very noisy about it.

    Maybe a dumb question but what does apple cider vinegar "with mother" in it mean????

    Thank you! Not sure how being on light all night affects them. My full size hens all started laying at about 22 wks. Polish are much later so I'm not stressing about it. They'll come. Make sure she's not hiding them though!

    Is she your only polish? Mine is 9mos and not laying yet but i hear they sometimes don't start til 10-12 mos.

    Here's some pics of our Polish, fluffy (hen) and Freddy (Roo). she's about 9mos and not laying yet. Love them, they are soo sweet and entertaining
