    In reference to my feral barn cat post - I did see one of my two barn cats tonight. He was all snuggled up in the coop near the heat lamp. I haven't saw the other one at all for a few days, but he is the most skittish of the two. As long as I don't try to pet Freckles, he stays put. :) I think...

    DH just shot a doe this weekend. The deer had the most fat he's ever seen. The other deer he harvested this year seems a bit more on the fatty side than usual. Does this mean it is going to be a hard winter? Eek! As long as it isn't full of ice storms and frigid below zero temps, I am okay...

    What are you canning now?

    We have some of those growing around here, too! I was going to take them to our local conservation district to figure out what they were. Canned 5 quarts and 2 pints of tomatoes.
