I am just thinking it’s going to take a little more time, located in central Kentucky,

Pullets are 5 mths some are 1 1/2 year old and other are 6 mths. Light on a 12 hr timer.

They are getting light, golden comets light brahmas Easter Eggers barred rock Plymouth blue rock have been getting 60 +Days

I have gathered 25 laying hens over the past couple of months. 9 were younger pullets and the rest were laying prior to me acquiring them. I am getting 5-7 eggs a day. Is this normal? They have access to oyster shell and get layer crumbles.

Looking for suggestions on bulk feed for CX. Would prefer yo get from feed mill. Or if you have a good recipe. Going to have 70 birds.

What I really need to know is how high does my separator need to be.

I have a 19 ft x 36 ft shed I have enclosed the front with wire. Instead of having one huge area I would like to divide it where my layers are in one spot and meat birds in another. What suggestions do you have??!

Okay so think about this and criticize me!!! Ditch witch an 18 inch ditch, put tin in ditch and then start at top of tin with HWC. We are loaded with big flat rock. Put apron of flat rock around outer edge of run? Yes I know a lot of work but I have a 15 yr old so I have good young help! Thoughts?

Thanks!!! I have a buddy with a ditch witch, I was going to cheat! I have a lot of tin and not so much HWC, that’s costly! So just trying to figure out best avenue.
