I have gathered 25 laying hens over the past couple of months. 9 were younger pullets and the rest were laying prior to me acquiring them. I am getting 5-7 eggs a day. Is this normal?
They have access to oyster shell and get layer crumbles.
I have a 19 ft x 36 ft shed I have enclosed the front with wire. Instead of having one huge area I would like to divide it where my layers are in one spot and meat birds in another. What suggestions do you have??!
Okay so think about this and criticize me!!! Ditch witch an 18 inch ditch, put tin in ditch and then start at top of tin with HWC. We are loaded with big flat rock. Put apron of flat rock around outer edge of run? Yes I know a lot of work but I have a 15 yr old so I have good young help! Thoughts?
