question about pecking order: How severe is it? My chickens are casting out one of my hens, the youngest, though not the smallest. She is so scared of these other chickens that while they are inside coop she will be outside in the run, and she will try to run past them and their beaks as...

Anyone have any experience with Black Copper Marans? About what age would they start developing red combs and wattles? And does a chicken lay an egg before she has a comb/wattles? (sorry for newbie ignorance!) I am not positive on how old my BCM are, but they are over 3 months at least. I...

She weighs about 45-50 lbs right now. We are in the disaster stage of trying to teach her that the kitchen counter-tops, and tabletops are off limits to her now that she can easily reach them much less just see whats up there. :/ lol This was her at around 14 wks. She thinks she is as...

Yes I believe they are both girls, however one does concern me a little.... Thank you--I was hoping that they could co-exist. I will def keep my eye on them and wait it out. My next question however is, what size egg is my Banty Ameraucanas going to produce? Excuse my ignorance, but would a...

So I have these two banty Ameracaunas....would there people really interested in these or are they going to be only a couple dollars worth to most people? If what everyone is saying is true than I apparently need to find a new home for my 2 bantams away from my barred rock roo. :(

I wasnt no...but I also didnt realize that I had bantams. I thought that they were going to grow to regular sized chickens. Now I dont know what to do. I have had such bad luck getting chickens/pullets and now I finally have 5 and 2 of them are super small. ugh :/
