Is my prolapsed hen egg bound? Back story...My hen is only about a year or 18 months. I only have 3 hens and I recently got mites so was treating with ivermectin topically as well as neem powder in the bedding. I noticed it when I checked my Isa browns vent because she was having elongated eggs for several weeks then I found her egg broken in the nest 2days in a row. I read up on various post and decided it could be all related. Then it got worse after a good hutch clean and the treatments I noticed she was going in the nest for a long time but no egg; checked her vent a gain to find a small prolapse. Very clean a fresh looking. Slipped back in very easy. Once again checked the threads (or chicken chat room as my hubby calls it) and isolated her in a dark space. It has been about 35 hours and no reoccurrence. I do not feel anything hard in her pelvis could she be egg bound anyway?
