Reba lived in the house for almost a year. She recovered completely (a miracle), except for a limp. I did have some difficulty introducing her back into the flock, as they pecked her. I then put her in the coop inside a wire dog kennel and only let her out with them under supervision...
I think you are right Mis Lydia about the others thinking of her as the "weak link". She may never be able to go back out with them. I'm in the process now of ordering a chicken diaper so she can walk around the house during cold weather.
