    Sorry for your losses! I had a raccoon come and take one of my chickens(I saved her though) and that may be your predator. I ended up trapping and killing 6 racoons and haven't had a problem since.... knock on wood!!

    Glad to of found this! First year owning chickens and I love it. I own red sexlinks, rhode island reds, and amberlinks so far! These are my layers and I plan on having some meat birds and turkeys next year.

    Thanks a lot! Luckily, she wasn't injured other than her leg. The raccoon pulled a bunch of belly feathers off but they grew back pretty quickly. Yeah, we have a bunch of those predators too but I take care to put the birds up before dusk now.
