    Max Hens vs. # of Nesting Boxes

    We now have 6 hens with 5 of them laying daily and we have 2 nesting boxes. It seems like there is a "traffic jam" in the morning as about 4 of them lay around this time. Our Easter Egger just laid a huge egg today out in the run after not laying for months. Should we get more nesting boxes...

    This little one is 2 month's old. We started hearing strange "singing" at 6am, and can pretty much confirm it sounds like a rooster's crow. And the tail features look kind of ornate. Is it too early to confirm as a rooster? Or should I start looking for a new home for him. I can't have a rooster...
