    Anything is possible. It was found after severe storms here in Texas wet, dirty, and had several injuries.

    I would hate to think someone would be so cruel to do that. The chick was in bad shape. Im thinking it was kept in a cage and was pecked off?

    You and me both on the beak. It makes it look like a hawk compared to my Rhode Island Reds that are about the same age. Very long beak.

    Just an update. The lil rescue chicken has healed up and is standing on her injured foot now after wearing a shoe I made for it. Her wings are down like a Bantan and her coloring is a splash. I still think its a mixed breed. No crown or wattle so debate is still ou if male or female. I'm still...

    Thank you! I will try the sling right away. The splinting manual is a huge help. I attempted wrapping her foot she was able to stand and eat for about 5 minutes but I think I will read the manual and re wrap.

    It cand stand on its leg or maybe it's the foot. I'm no expert but doesn't appear broken. Small wound at the leg joint, and on its back. Eyes and beak is clear.
