Final update for now. Only one survived. The first one. It’s now in a different incubator with a few egg buddies (had to take it out of the one it was in because we need to lock down the 3 eggs that are in that one. Unfortunately the other two just didn’t make it. Hoping this little one survives...
So it’s been over 24 hours since my first post. I don’t know why but these chicks seem so tiny and not ready to be out (I have the days calculated exactly and written down today is officially Day 23 but they were put in on the morning before so actually 24 days old) but the first one came out...
Got a tiny opening in memebrane and beak is able to get out and breathe.
The other 2 that are left I can’t see at all, where the head is so I’ll just leave them for now
Hi all. We have hatched many batches of chicks and all had either pips or peeping sounds by day 22.
Ours seemed like a faulty batch this time. Only 5 out of 30 were viable by lockdown. This morning was Day 22 with still no peeping or activity at all.
