Hi All...
I live in Wenham, MA and I currently have 11 hens ( 5 of which are only 3 months old ) and 2 Roosters. ( 1 of which is only 3 months old )
Curly is my white Rooster and Hawk is my 3 month old.
I am looking to possibly rehome the baby, as I already have Curly to protect the...
congrats on your little bugger here. This made me sad however... a few months back I hatched 8 of my own eggs. The last one had curled toes. I did do the whole band aid thing and when I took the band aid off, there was no improvement. My boyfriend and I made the difficult decision to cull...
Hi all,
After purchasing 6 new chicks and hatching two of my own, I have a Rooster I need to rehome. He is 3 months old now and really handsome. I have a Rooster already, and 11 hens, so if someone local is looking to add a Roo to their flock, I can help.

Hi all...
Not sure if I am in the right spot. I'm just looking for some local chicken keepers such as myself to chat with, exchange photos with, ideas and such....
I bought my first 6 chickens last year and now have 13, two of which include 2 I hatched myself... ( I feel like an old pro now...
Hi all....

I am going to try this method this morning. Any advice on the redness from overnight on his leg probably from dragging it or hopping around on it? chick just hatched yesterday. Thanks in advance. It just looks a little raw.
I incubated my first batch of eggs 21 short days ago. 8 total, knowing some may not be fertile. Well.... they all were of course. Candling was soooo exciting... but I never expected watching these little buggers hatch would completely put me over the edge. I can see how it can be addicting...
The circle that you see is very, very circular, like a perfect circle and inside of that circle you will see what some call a bulls-eye. You can't miss it once you've seen it. The bulls-eye is lighter, in the center....
Can someone tell me why you have to spread the feathers in your hand for feather sexing? These guys just hatched a few days ago and I'm curious why its so difficult. What am I
missing? Any guesses on these guys? :-)
O M G they are thee cutest. I had to help my fourth chick out of her egg last night. What a nightmare that was. Ha! But she made it. I think my humidity dropped too low at some point, still have four more to go. Wish me luck!
I had to do this last night. I loved reading your post. Most everything I read, made me so afraid, but after reading this.... and having successfully helped my chick out of her egg last night, I feel empowered. ;-)
