    Keeping geese with chickens

Thank you. I wholeheartedly agree but there might be just a little prejudice here. I just posted in another thread. I am concerned that Annie may be deaf. She does not respond when I call her name which she should know by now. Have you ever heard of a deaf goose?

    Could my goose be deaf?

I raised an African Geese from one day old. She now is 7 months old. I am concerned that she might be deaf as she does not respond when I call her. She certainly should know her name by now. She is a friendly sort, eats meal worms out of my hand and gets along with the chickens and the...

    Keeping geese with chickens

I have a 7 month old African Geese. I raised her in a spare bedroom from a one day old gosling. When she was a couple months old I put her in a playpen which I would keep outside the coop when the weather was good then I would put the playpen in the chicken coop for the night. The coop is...

    Fish food okay for ducks?

I have a 20lb bag of koi fish food that I would prefer not go to waste. It has 32% protein and 3% minimum fat. Would it be okay to feed it to my ducks or it the level of protein too high? Thanks.

    The anticipation may kill me

Thank you. That's very helpful. Our nights are still in the 30s and 40s so I will have to wait a couple weeks and then I'll use the Premier plate in the barn. I'll have to use a sturdy extension cord to reach the back of the barn. They are growing so fast I can't believe it.

    The anticipation may kill me

Missbc: Our chicks are both 4 weeks old. Do you still use a light on them at night? This is my first time as a mother hen and I'm not sure what they would need at night if I move them to the barn. They are in a spare bedroom for now so they no longer need the radiant heater but the nights...

    Brahma thread

Hi Enkue Just read your post and couldn't help but looking through my file to find a picture of a spider, the kind of which visits us every year and sounds like the one you describe. This probably won't help allay your fear of spiders but, be assured this kind will not hurt you, unless you...

    The anticipation may kill me

They are now 9 days old and their little tails are beginning to grow. It looks like one of the girls might actually be a boy, the one drinking. It looks much like the known boy with the black mark on his head, its wings are short and not developing as fast as the girls, no tail feathers...
