That is definitely a pullet. my RIR rooster was different looking by 3 & 1/2 months. Roosters also have colorful tail feathers. Definitely a pullet.

I am having the same problem because they aren't a very good bird for sitting on eggs... One of mine is a 50% broody. She sits on eggs all day but never stays on them for longer than a day or so. Please help us other people! :)

I think she's just messing up on being broody and doing it half-time. She DOES poop the size off an egg, goose egg sized at that. What I did is I quarantined her to the nesting box area with seperate food and water from the others. She has been sitting on the nest since then. Wish me luck! I...
