I ordered chicks and usps said it would take 4 days on the tracking info. The post office called me at 8am on the second day to pick them up. The lady at the post office said their tracking info isn't good for express or 2day shipping. Im sure they will be there within 2 days!
She wasn't in the boxes, just laying on the ground near the coop. I checked her for an egg, with nothing found. She seems to be interested in eating and ate a scrambled egg this afternoon. She is standing/clucking at the other chickens again which makes me feel a bit better about it. But I'm not...
Hey everyone! I have a buff orpington pullet that is just not feeling well. Shes having diarrhea/ really stinky green poops, laying down a lot and just not being herself. Shes also limping a little on one foot but stands just fine. I put her in quarantine last night and she's been eating and...
Haha I like Mumble too, but I was like "how insulting!!" Well, if she's just doing her thing, I guess I'll just keep an eye on her to make sure she isn't in pain and let her keep doing whatever it is she does! Thanks for the confidence boost😀
Yeah, she seems perfectly healthy minus her wattle, comb and that weird limp. My husband thinks we should just name her Mumble after the penguin from Happy Feet and be done with it😂. Her sisters all have a flaming red wattle and comb, even if they are smaller combs and all of them have been...
No. Not at all. I also palpated both her legs to see if I feel any irregularities but I didn't notice anything. But the problem seems to be in her right leg. It doesn't seem to stop her from doing much, but I was just curious about it
Hey everyone! So another, not so urgent question. I have a gold laced wyandotte pullet that has always had a weird limp since she was a chick. As she has become larger, the limp has become more pronounced. She's still eating and drinking fine and wanders around the yard looking for bugs but she...
Did you put some sort of grating down on the floor? I have a dog crate that I put on 4x4s but the bottom wiring is too wide for her to walk on. I put 1"x1" metal grating over it so she could walk around without falling through.
She's a buff orpington, so I'm not sure if they are more prone to broodiness. I also have gold laced wyandottes and a welsummer. I'm hoping they don't act like this. She's in her "broody jail" for the time being. I kept her distracted for most of the day scratching, dust bathing and hunting for...
