I love animals! Everyone tries to bring me unwanted, mistreated, injured babies. They know it's so hard for me to say no. I'm no expert, I learn as I go, but I have lots of love to give and I don't give up easy. I currently have 2 inside cats and a family of feral cats outside. I have 10 hens, and 1 rooster. Clementine, a Splash Orphington, is my pride and joy. Stella, a Lavender Orphington is Queen of the Coop! I have 4 Easter Eggers, 3Plymouth Rock Barres and 2 mixes. One I believe is the Lavender's off spring and the other PRB and Splash Orphington. Both are beautiful!

I am the mother of 2 amazing men. I have 2 teenage boys placed in my care by the state. I am a relative caregiver. They arrived with Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Why do you want to join our community?
I'm kinda new to raising chickens and want to learn as much as possible I found BYC when looking for info on feeding, coop needs etc. I'm so glad I did! Great people here who are always ready to help out.
