Sad to report that when I came home this evening, he had expired. I'm really not sure why -- he managed at least 12 hours (that I know of -- and much longer -- not bleeding out). He ate last night and he was alert this morning.

Well, not as bad as I first thought. The amputation is not quite near his main body as I first thought - It's above the knee. He still has about 2 inches of upper leg -- looks like he was chewed pretty good at the knee. covered the area in Neosporin -- I hope that doesn't make him too cold...
