i’ll try that! i’ve never seen any of them bite him (HES HUGE) but i’ll keep an eye out for any of that. I’m spraying him with iodine on his comb, thank you! i’ll update with whether he gets better or not
also, he suffered from frostbite in the past so maybe that has something to do with it?? it’s hot this time of year but maybe something reopened from that horrible-ness, i don’t know. I really care about him and want him to be okay
My roosters comb is discolored and scabby. He eats well, and is acting completely normal (he’s just blinking in the first image). I’m not sure what could be wrong with him. I was thinking fowlpox, but I am not sure anymore. Is it sunburn? Or something fungal? I’m worried about him :(
I did! I’ve been researching them for a week now, some lady just gave me all of hers!! I researched lethal genes and quail care, etc! I’m excited, I think I want to breed them and sell the babies at my local farmers market, since they’re so gorgeous.
Sorry for the awful photos, I’m nervous to get them out again! I’m so excited to have them, waiting for them to calm down to sex. If anyone notices like, a blatant feather sexable roo please tell me! I’d also love to know what varieties they are! I love my beautiful rainbow quail mix!!!!
Getting coturnix quail tomorrow! Got any tips? Here’s the pictures i’ve been sent on facebook, she said there’s around 15ish quail! I’ll update tomorrow morning when I pick them up, I’m so excited!!!!
