Its been a year since I shared these and can now confidently say, we have four hens and one cockerel te brown one, the buff is a hen. Hats off to those that guess right. Its worked out well as have one roo for my four hens and hope to start raising a few if they get round to it. :) The silkies...

A Single Combed Blue laced salmon cockerel.... just think he is stunning! He's a project bird right? The aim would be to produce the same with a rose comb?

Now I found this video and it shows both eamples within the group.. one has a pronouced /\ shape whilst the others have very full feathered rounder tails like mine.
Thank you, really enjoy studying them every day, hope you get as much from your new flock too! they are certainly very addictive! There are just so many breeds and colours to choose from. I can see myself getting over run in the not so distant future. :)

Really great info! Had a look at them again today, their tails definitely aren't /\ shaped like the last picture, defintely more rounded at the top in the form of a horse shoe, their tail feathers are longer now and more pronounced, the salmon tails still have more soft feathering than the...
Thanks for the feedback it is a great help! It seems that it's pretty much standard here with the Buffs, Splash blue laced red and Salmons, they all seem to have the same feathering on their tails even those on the feathersite, would be great to see pics of others of these colours from behind...
