    Okay, that makes sense. Would it leave an impact on what the gender is, though? This one is my favorite bird...so I guess I am just wanting to know if it makes an impact before I rehome her (him).

    Thanks for your reply! The first bird is actually yellow in color, but it doesn't appear so in the picture. Would that make a difference at all?

    I know the black chicks are females (black stars), but I still don't know for sure on my easter eggers. I tried my best with my old iPhone, hopefully somebody can tell what these might be. Blondie up front Next two are the same (Daphne) Ginger Next two are the same (Velma)

    Thanks for the reply. I've got a 150W heat lamp light that I got at Wal-Mart, would that suffice for the next few weeks? If they'd be okay this week with that arrangement, at what point would it be okay to stop using the light?
