  • Oh, well, if I'm talking about bird characteristics, I'm normally talking about show, other then when otherwise stated. How many Show slikies do you have then?
Yah, none of my chickens are for show except my Silkies, although we had to give one of them up.
Thanks for the insight. Didn't know that, and didn't know that you were talking about show-variety Leghorns, either.

I couldn't spot the difference between production and show even if it hit me in the head.
NO!!! Roosters must not have a floppy comb!!! And, if she can't see, that's a production variety, not show, show have a smaller comb than that. Oh, by the way, I'm talking about the Americain Standerd Of Perfection Leghorn.
By the way, those buff leghorns are stunning.

And don't both sexes have big floppy combs? I have a white Leghorn, and she can only narrowly see out of one eye because of her comb.
Hey, I ramble too. You're not alone. Maybe I should make a "Rambling Club", mainly because I have nothing else productive to do.

I would think it's a cockerel from the picture in your avatar, but a full body shot would help tremendously.
It's a pullet, but one other person I think said about it being a male, so I don't know now. But it is a leghorn, and the hens have big combs. I'm rambling again, aren't I? Sorry!
