The white one is a cockerel, and the brown one is a pullet!
You can tell the white one is a cockerel by how big and red his comb and wattles are already at this age, as well as his saddle feathers (on the lower back) are longer and more pointed.

I have a boss hen too, who actually just laid her first egg yesterday.
My rooster Clucky does a great job leading the flock, but he knows deep down Peep is in charge. 😆

Chickens laying on their side can be quite normal. They do it to sun bathe, dust bathe, cool off, etc.:)
Is this something she has always done or just recently?
My flock has two guinea hen's.
I feed them Dumor chick starter 20% protein, with oyster egg shells in a dish available to them for calcium.
They have grown into big healthy birds. :)
