    A lot of folks dont think chickens have emotions...

    I don't close the door on mine in the evenings. Is that a bad thing? They just come and go as they will. Granted, I am within ity limits and have a small flock. I saw a black cat on the fence the other day, but I think he had second thoughts of coming into the yard when he saw the chickens...

    What DONT your chickens like

    Mine will eat varaciously anything put within eye sight. They love to follow around the lawn mower and pounce on the bugs that get stirred up.

    Howdy folks from yet anothe Texan. I'm in Waco and fairly new to the chicken raising. I have Ameracaunas as well. Although I also have a hodge podge of others that I have no clue what they are.

    Howdy folks, I received 18 cute little chicks about 3 weeks ago. I ordered 10 Amercaunas pullets and received extra "... males to keep the chicks warm." Problem is, I can only keep 5 (preferrably females) and I have no clue how to tell the difference other than colors. A neat observation...
