    That’s actually what I decided to do. It looks like the membrane has a few slits from sitting under her, so there is air for it. I’ll keep an eye on it for sure. ❤️

    My broody must have stepped on the egg. It’s moving around…do I just keep it under her? I do not have an incubator. Pics from last night and today. Obviously it looks like it is starting to shrink wrap. Today is day 20.

    I was hoping hen bc when it was a chick, it had the small dot on its head and not the large dot that went down the neck…I knew the traditional id of BR chicks probably wouldn’t apply but was hoping. Especially since it’s doesn’t have the traditional BR comb. Fun to learn, though.

    Yes, mom is barred rock and dad EE. It looks like it’s starting to grow ribbon feathers.
