    We ate hundreds of pheasants and ducks that were hung for two weeks if the temps were 30s or 40s. Dad swore by it. If they smell fine, chow down!

    I would really be looking at something else. Owls kill for sustenance and there young, and are extremely efficient at it. I think your research leaning to land predators is pointing you in the right direction. Set out some game cams!

    She’s at least part game! A literal fighting chicken. Even the hens are oddly aggressive. What you describe is totally normal for her breed.

    Up to you, but I think with that bird being nearly the cost of 1000lbs of feed you could start your breeding program more ground level and work for there. Could be more rewarding! But if that’s where you want to start and the 375 doesn’t sting, drop the hammer 🔨Just my .02.

    I feel like I see more squaring up in sexed pullet batches than in straight runs. Likely a coincidence but as stated, they all do it.
