    Yep, I'd say that's a roo. Often this coloration on EEs is roo. I really wanted a white EE hen, and every white one I've gotten has ended up a roo, so I feel your pain! He is absolutely beautiful, though!

    Beautiful! I've found lilacs provide excellent shade for the chickens. They can scratch at the base and the bushes are also beautiful landscape additions.

    Rooster Doesn't Crow

    Just wondering if anyone else has a rooster that never, or rarely, crows? Our guy is very obviously a roo, but...no crowing. He's right out our bedroom window, so we'd hear him if he did. Anyone else have a crowless roo?

    5 looks a lot like my Australorp, who is 10 weeks old and just starting to get a little shimmer. So 5 may still be an Australorp. All looking like pullets to me, except maybe #5, but if he is an Australorp, they are incredibly hard to determine!

    12-week old BLRW. No roostery behavior, nearly no comb/wattle. But do their tails always stick up like this? Even on pullets?
