    Rats getting in my coop... HELP!!!

    My chicken got a hold of a poisoned rat. She is getting better day by day. I killed one in the yard but I'm sure there are more. Did the bucket work? I was trying to figure out where my eggs went!!

    My leghorn is at least six months and isn't laying... starting to think she is a he. She was injured as a peep and found by some children who fed her cat food. It's it possible she just won't lay?

    so far they are all doing fine, starting to sleep with the older girls at night but stay apart the rest of the time. The duck is a nut and I am glad to have her. Feel blessed they are all females.

    thanks for asking the question, I had the same one. Ours are very close in age but still enough to make a difference. We have 6 four month olds and 3 one month olds and a duck that we would like to intergrate. they have been free ranging together but have had some occasional pecking and feather...

    right now Im letting them dry out - a friend rescued them from a man who didn't like them much and had them with a wet duck and they were all cold and wet.... one chick has dark gold stripes and the others are all fuzzballs
