You need to hold her with her head pointed down and massage her crop. Get the fluid out of her crop. If you don’t she could drown in the fluid. You may have to repeat the process several times over several days. Just keep an eye on her.
From under wing to her belly. Probably 6-8” long. It’s her skin that is cut not the muscle. Although it’s the muscle that is showing. I will see about getting photos tomorrow. I don’t want to disturbed her tonight.
I have 5 hens just noticed there nostrils are black and lightly sneezing. They hsd mites and i used DE in their Coop. It's everywhere to stop the mites. I dusted them too. What should I do?
Just had my first experience with mites. Yuck! I completely emptied, sanitized the coop, I loaded the walls, noxes, roost with DE. I bathed the birds in DE. Then again later that night. Was better. Next morning I bathed only one bird because she was the worst off. She was 70% better than day...
We have 5 hens and 3 roosters. Our one hen Rosie we feel is getting way too much attention from the 3 roosters. We feel awful for her. So we have questions.
1) should we separate her from the flock at night?

We have 3 12 week old roosters. 1 rooster attacked one of the others twice. Do we separate the attacker? Or do we keep him and find new homes for the other two? Looking for guidance.
