We purchased a material for the flooring of the run & now I'm not sure about it It is now half covered with an all purpose sand. Did we purchase the wrong thing? Please help reassure us or help us with the right products. We researched & thought this was ok to use Now we are second guessing...

How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

So far today we have 5. We have 11 big girls about 18 weeks old. They've just started laying about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Each day is a different number of eggs. They are not consistent yet. Still new at this. 😆 They are a loud bunch when the eggs are layed.

Patters are tough for me as well. That's why I follow some ladies on YouTube & learn from them.

    Bay Area BYCers!

How are your chickens doing this lovely June? The weather has been so odd. Hot then cool then warm then hot. We are over in Antioch. My girls were so hot last week Thursday & Friday from the 100 degree temps but we kept them hydrated & cool the best we could.

Integrating chicks into flock at 4 weeks old.

I'm so thankful for this forum. Many of you have helped us without even knowing it. This post has greatly informed us on how to join our 4 wk old chick's with our 11 week old hens. Keeping them separate & not just throwing them in. Thank you for the help!
