    I use straw in my nesting boxes as well. The eat a little of it but stopped after a while.

    Wintering my chickens

    Can someone tell me what they do to get their coops ready for the winter. I have never had chickens when it was really cold out. What do I need to do to prepare their coop. There is no door on the coop. It is just a little wooden building with an large open door area. Any suggestions?

    How about a Deviled Egg. (Sorry couldn't resist that one) Seriously think about it. It would be different and cute. Make an egg shape outfit out of cardboard and put on some horns. You have a deviled egg and the kids face isn't covered so they can see.
