Thanks for all the responses tonight.
I took the roo out this afternoon and put him in a separate pen. This evening I sat out by the chicken run where the hens are and honestly, they seemed so much more relaxed and at ease.
He did grow up with all the girls. The two RIR hens are three weeks older than he is which why they don't put up with his attitude.
Chickenannie - totally agree Not enough girls to occupy his attention.
Hens are in a covered run. The really don't need him. I'll probably move him along to some other place.
