why my chicken is like that
Is she l Is she laying eggs? Does she seem egg bound? Are there any injuries you can see? I would isolate her as soon as possible and take a closer look- coralbell7

I find that sectioning off part of your run or building a temporary run next to the full grown chickens works for me. We used a large dog crate for a brooder and covered the sides with cardboard so the fluffy butts didn't escape. It gets very dusty in the area you put them. We managed that by hanging old sheets from the ceiling- coralbell7

Sounds like she's going through a late partial molt, especially if there's pin feathers present. Have you checked for mites or lice? I've seen this in some of my girl's eggs from time to time. From what Ive been told, it's excess calcium. They say not to worry unless you chook appears or acts sick, then they say to check for worms in their poo. I kinda like the specks! Like a little artist- coralbell7
