Just wanted to update and say that I think the reason she was looking so poorly was because she was at the beginning of starting her molt. 2 months later and she is looking absolutely beautiful and acting normal again.
My Chinese white Goose, Lucy, has just started molting a couple days ago. Picked her up just to give her a look over today and noticed that the skin on her knob is loose and somewhat wrinkling around the base. This concerns me greatly as I'm thinking it could mean dehydration? She has plenty of...
Thanks for your thoughts...I'll also go and take a closer look with a magnifying glass while my husband holds her. I have the ivermectin that I use for worming my chickens when necessary.
I need help figuring out what might be making my Chinese goose's (Lucy) feathers fall out around her eyes? I read through other threads that were similar in subject but didn't find anything that matched. I noticed this condition starting about 10 days ago and little by little, the area is...

Thanks for those links! Since I am not an affiliate member, I just screen shot a few of the plans that were close to the size I'd like to eventually build and saved them to my computer. Thanks!!!
Hey Jeff8482 - I was searching the internet for "fresh air" coops and it lead me to this post of your coop. I am also in VA and am currently still researching all things chicken. :) I am particularly interested in the type of coop you built. How have you liked it since you finished it last...
