Feather loss around the eyes....

I need help figuring out what might be making my Chinese goose's (Lucy) feathers fall out around her eyes? I read through other threads that were similar in subject but didn't find anything that matched. I noticed this condition starting about 10 days ago and little by little, the area is getting larger in size. There is no injury that I can see and she gets fresh water daily in a bucket and she also has a large kiddie pool that gets refreshed every 2-3 days. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

My first thought is mites, they’re extremly hard to spot sometimes so it’s easy to miss.
Most mites can be treated with a pea sized drop of ivermectin horse wormer given orally, it makes their body pretty inhospitable to most parasites.
Just in case you may want to check in with a vet if you’re able to get the most effective treatment and right dosage, also to get a good look at it to make sure iT isn’t some kind of skin infection.

Thanks for your thoughts...I'll also go and take a closer look with a magnifying glass while my husband holds her. I have the ivermectin that I use for worming my chickens when necessary.
