I have 5 original birds, and have been slowly trying to introduce newbies into my flock. I have a cinnamon queen who is MEAN she even flogs me or hubs. So we had locked her into the crate we originally had the two silkies in…due to her aggression. Well I go out to lock the coop up and another...
I have it on medium cause it wasnt getting warm on low but he is fully feathered he is doing so much better ! He’s acting like a normal chick again! Normal wake and feed cycles, up and walking and not sleeping in that position anymore.
Not even 24hrs. He’s by himself he perked up a little through the night still sleepy but he’s drinking and eating himself now with a little help! Small perk up but it’s better than he was
I’m not sure his temp he’s got a heating pad under his brooder area at the moment to keep warm as the other chicks have my brood light. He’s eating chick food here and he has been pooping. Been giving rooster booster
He was bought from another small homestead. She had quite a few Roos he’s In his own bin just really tired not wanting to drink anything eating some no noise no nothing doesn’t look like wormy poop doesn’t look like coccidiosis fairly clean little bird. He does have stinky poop though
Hi! I have a silkie that’s lethargic and I just don’t know what else to do. Unfortunately for the night I’ve done all I can and can’t tend to him till the morning but he has just been laying around. I just got him today, he will eat occasionally here and there I’ve been having to syringe him...
I’ll have to have my husband send me the picture of her but I’ve not gotten a picture of her nest ! They have a roost so I find it odd she’s not roosting with the rest especially at night when it’s cold
She does most of these besides the clucking. She will move away from where she’s tried to make a nest if we walk near her though they don’t much care for us unless it’s snack time. Unfortunately I do the deep litter method so she’s mad when I get rid of her little nesting hole
Hi everyone ! I was wondering if anyone had any brahmas that laid earlier, my girl is 13-14 weeks but I’ve read that they don’t lay till about 20 weeks but she is broody so I’m confused. Should I start laying boxes yet? She makes nests in the straw that is in the coop. This is my first flock
