Hi! I have a silkie that’s lethargic and I just don’t know what else to do. Unfortunately for the night I’ve done all I can and can’t tend to him till the morning but he has just been laying around. I just got him today, he will eat occasionally here and there I’ve been having to syringe him water though unfortunately

Where did you get him from? How old is he? Did you know he was sick when you got him? If you have other birds, are you keeping him quarantined away from them and practicing biosecurity so you don't transfer any illness to your other birds? What symptoms are you observing: do you hear any noises when he breathes? Is his crop full or empty? Does he have any odor about him, at either end? Is his vent clean?

@nuthatched's suggestion of sugar water is a good one. Mix 1 teaspoon water to 1 cup water. Use measuring spoon and cup. Just put a drop at the side of his beak and let him swallow if he won't take it from a small cup held up to his beak. A dehydrated chicken can't eat.

He was bought from another small homestead. She had quite a few Roos he’s In his own bin just really tired not wanting to drink anything eating some no noise no nothing doesn’t look like wormy poop doesn’t look like coccidiosis fairly clean little bird. He does have stinky poop though

What's his brooder temperature? His diet? Can he poop?
Giving him some sugar water might help.
I’m not sure his temp he’s got a heating pad under his brooder area at the moment to keep warm as the other chicks have my brood light. He’s eating chick food here and he has been pooping. Been giving rooster booster

How long have you had him?
Is he in quarantine?

Not even 24hrs. He’s by himself he perked up a little through the night still sleepy but he’s drinking and eating himself now with a little help! Small perk up but it’s better than he was
