    Well, my 1 year old RIR roo decided to go after my niece... The OD went to her defense and the roo has a fractured leg... Any one have a good method to splint the leg? Its broken in the "drumstick area" just above the knee... Really hoping I don't have to put him down... This one is the OD's...

    Top bar hives are sweet... I built one but never used it... I have 2 langstroth hives... TBH's are more natural but my goal was maximum honey production... The crush and strain method causes the girls to work more....

    I tried seeds one year, but they never did well.  Any suggestions?   Whether my experiment works or not, I will share the details... bought a seed flat, filled to level with seed starting potting soil... soaked the soil with hot water and drained excess... placed seeds at desired depth...

    Well, the wife has said I can hatch more eggs... She has set the rules though.... WHEN they hatch, either trade, sell, or eat... That's a fair deal I think...
