    I’m back.

We moved from Tenneess to Florida and we’re now in Texas with a few acres. I’m starting with Chickens and Turkeys. Backyard Chickens has always been helpful and I couldn’t wait to get back with y’all.

Can I sanitize their run? If so. how?

Wow thank you. I'm going to go let them range now and I will get the other items you suggested. I've never had any problems before...only preditors. I only have 1 chicken from my original flock. But I now have 15 new chickens and 2 roosters. I couldn't take care of my chicks and roos without BYC.

Can I sanitize their run? If so. how?

My chickens have had the clear running poop with green in it. I've reviewed this on backyard chickens and started them on Corid V on Monday. It seems to be helping. The normally free range, however we've had a lot of ran and thus a lot of puddles, so I've kept them in the coop/run. Does anyone...

Review by '' on item 'Barred Rock'

I knew nothing about them when I first got them. They are great. My husband who really wants nothing to with the chickens had a Barred Rock that followed him everywhere he went on our property. He told me, "That spotted one keeps following me. She's always clucking and talking up a storm."...

    Eating their eggs...

I appreciate you answering me so quickly with my original post. I did as you suggested. I separated her and put a wooden egg in her nest. She has now joined the others and I've added wooden eggs to their nest also. Thank you for your advise with Sunshine. :-)

    Eating their eggs...

Yes, I mix it with their feed. I also crush egg shells and mix it with cottage cheese or fruit. Should I separate Sunshine?

    Eating their eggs...

We let our hens free range. Today when I collected eggs one of the eggs was crushed. I took the others to the house. As I approached my cabin, I saw a hen lay an egg on the path, turn around, poke it and it eat. I then saw one of my older hens starting to poke another egg. This is new behavior...
