My first egg next to the ones I am getting now. They started out very small but are getting bigger. I have 2 barred rock hens . They are now almost 6 months old.

Just got my first egg today. I have what I believe to be barred rocks. I bought two of them when they were two days old. Yesterday they were 22 weeks. These are my first hens and I am excited.

Thanks. Yeah I am hoping for girls! The Pekin and campbell were supposed to be girls. That's what I get for not knowing how to tell. It's a bad pic, but some of the ducklings are much lighter, more yellow on chest but still all have the mallard stripes. I was hoping for some interesting mixes.

Need help with these ducklings. Mama duck is eithet Ruoen or Malllard( not sure. She looks mallard but she has some offspring that look like Ruoen(drakes become mottled when molting). But I now have a young male pekin, a male Ruoen, and a young male dark campbell all of which she mated with...

Chicks the first day.

The legs and feet just started turning grayish. When they were younger the legs were a yellowy orange like the beak. They are are no more than 6 weeks old, probably closer to 5 weeks. I bought them 2-18 and the were very small. I was hoping for Barred rocks but the legs had me confused as well.

I bought this pair of chicks a month ago from a feed store. What kind are they? I'm new here and to keeping chickens.
