    I basically do the same as you, however I put a damp paper towell over them in a tupperware bowl with a lid and they stay crisp for many days.

    Thank you kindly. I got my first eggs yesterday from some new Cream Legbars. But they layed them under their ramp instaed of in their nestbox and with all the rain the eggs were very muddy.

    I will not plant Sure Crop green beans. They were not a sure crop.

    Thank you. I wanted to move my egg production chicks in with my old hens in a much larger coop and run. Sounds like I should hold off for a while.

    I give all of my chickens comfrey to eat, they love it and I think it has a protein level of 20-22 percent.

    I do think I walked into a friendly neighborhood.... or community. I wish I could ship some of the rain we have been getting here to you in CA to help put out the fires. We have received 3.75 inches since yesterday. And nothing but rain forcasted for the next several days.

    The cream legbars have a coop of their own. I got my first two eggs from them yesterday, they were inside the coop next to the watering can. Today I had three and they were all underneath the ramp in their run. I was thinking if that is where they want to lay then their eggs will be varmint...
