    Thanks cause I was gonna separate him from the hens. That was my only silkie. All my other hens r bantams of different sizes but nothing fancy like my silkie was. Will my hens do this again to another one of my bantam hens if she starts to brood? I don't wanna find another dead hen like this.

    Oh no. I seen her do this. I feel terrible. I should have separated her. I didn't know they would kill her. Will they kill my other bantam even if they r not silkies?

    Just an update three of the twelve babies survived. This was after I removed them to a secluded place away from the other adult chickens. They r very healthy and doing well with the other chickens now that they r older. Thank u for the advice.
